Personal Data: Catgirl developed her powers at the age of 16. By the age of 18 she was a stealthy low powered superhero taking on small time hoods, but then something happened. She was "discovered" by the media and soon was spending more time modeling for companies selling "super" gadgets then actually fighting crime. This suited her fine! When talk came up of a possible TV show she knew she had to do something big to make it happen.
When a lunatic broke into a military ware house of secret equipment and threatened to take over California she saw the chance. But during the fight she stepped in front of a ray that was supposed to generate superpowers the guy was using on himself. Despite it never working before (why do you think it was stuck in a ware house!) she got lots of REAL powers and kicked the guys butt. After 24 hours the powers went away. A short while later they came back and lasted 24 hours, the problem was they turned out to only come back after sex. When a superhero tabloid used "SexKitten" as the running cover story for months she lost most her jobs modeling and was back on the streets as a superhero, but this time she had real powers!
At least for 24s at a stretch. She soon joined a team of other superheros in forming the New Champions and soon ended up their leader. (because she had TV experience. >:P)
